One of the saddest things for me to see is a person who’s relying on another person to identify who they are. The one person who can truly reveal your identity is the one who created you. Today, even the believer is suffering from identity crisis. Believer’s today go from church service to church service, prophet to prophet, friend to friend, book to book, spiritual father to spiritual father, life-coach to life-coach, and the list goes on and on, to find out WHO THEY ARE. When we operate this way we leave a door open for our spirit-man to be manipulated. We open ourselves to receive FALSE IDENTITIES. We begin to receive delegation from another to carry out something that is not ours, instead of confirmation from God to birth what is (not saying that what your called to is an island without connection to another dream or vision).
Jesus asked His disciples, “who do man say that I am?” Many of the disciples had an answer for Him…John the Baptist, Elijah, Jeremiah they declared (people can quickly tell you what someone else is saying about you). Then Jesus asked, “Who do you say that I am?” The room grew quiet, and Simon Peter spoke up and said, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” I said that to say, NOT EVEN YOUR INNER CIRCLE CAN IDENTIFY WHO YOU ARE UNLESS GOD REVEALS IT TO THEM.
Please note that Jesus DID NOT ask this question with any doubt or uncertainty of who He was.
He ONLY ask this question after the Father had spoke to Him, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Jesus KNEW and was secure in His own identity, so when someone else spoke into His life, it was a confirmation of what the Father had already spoken.
We have a world full of people that are having Identity Crisis. A world full of people that are being labeled and confused. The church, not the building or organization, but YOU AND I, are supposed to bring clarity to this state of confusion. In order to do so WE MUST HAVE CLARITY. That clarity comes from the Father. He created you, He knows you, and He knows the plans He has for you. We were made in His image and likeness. Believers, IT IS TIME TO GO TO THE SOURCE. He is the one to reveal your purpose to you. He is the One with the roadmap to your expected end.
We have people, the world, and the religious, placing identities/labels on us that don’t belong and we are accepting them. Remember Jacob??? His parents gave him the identity of “The Supplanter” and he carried that identity and acted it out for most of his life, UNTIL HE HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD. God told Jacob who he REALLY was (read the whole account in Genesis). Some of us need an encounter, a meet-up with God, with the specific purpose of learning and identifying who we are. When that happens we will have some clarity and only THEN can we bring/give
clarity.
IT’S TIME PEOPLE OF GOD…For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
The world, our communities, our families and children need us to have clarity now more than ever.
GO TO THE SOURCE!!! So we can BE THE DIFFERENCE!!!!

Father, we thank You that we are made in Your image and likeness. We thank You for Your Word that mirrors to us who we are and what we posses. We thank You that you have a plan for each of our lives. We ask You Lord, to reveal Your plan to and in us. We ask that we have a personal encounter with You Lord so that we can have and manifest clarity of purpose in the earth. We declare that we are going from faith to faith and glory to glory. Lord, YOU ARE OUR SOURCE AND HOLY SPIRIT WE COME TO YOU. LEAD US HOLY SPIRIT, GUIDE US AND REVEAL YOUR TRUTH TO AND IN US!!! Thanks for your thoughts and the clarity of your expression. I agree with what you have written. I would love to see more people turn to the source especially those in the body of Christ. Prayerfully we can all push pass the identities that family, job and even church has placed upon us. I believe in doing so it will be important to spend time alone with self and God and courageously allow the real self to come forth.

I hear the Holy Spirit here… I was teaching this same thing to my (High School Teen ) Sunday School class last Sunday (Out of Col. 1:15 where it talks about Christ being the visible image of the Invisible God…) and have even taken calls from parents this week on how it impacted their children… That line in the prayer… ” we thank you for Your Word that mirrors to us who we are and what we possess….” Is so pregnant with meaning…. You really are Umika that stands in the Presence of God…

Absolutely magnificent! This is as clear as it gets. The Father knows the number of hairs on our head. I am looking into the mirror of His word to show me me. The Lord bless you and Minister Mark richly with his abiding love.

This was wonderful! So often we get wrapped up in what others think of us and how they define us. I know who you are, You are the daughter of the King of Kings, Who’s royal blood flows in your veins. I know this for I to have this same blood in my veins that fills us to over flowing with His Aggressive Love. This Love of Christ that we must share with the world.
